Here's the story:
Yesterday we made Thank You cards and Have A Good Summer cards for all the adults in the school. This morning the kids delivered their cards to teachers, principal, cooks, secretaries, and pretty much all the adults. Those adults all...mysteriously...somehow...had a copy of Beyond the Grave - The 39 Clues Book 4. Kids came screaming down the hall, some at a full sprint (I forgave them) holding books. Some kids had the self-control to not open the brown bag package they received, believe it or not, even after some kids actually brought up the book in our morning discussions before we delivered the cards! All of them thought they were delivering the one copy the class needed, only to find everyone had their own. It was priceless.
Here's a picture of what we've done all day:
Thanks for keeping the secret, thanks for your support, and my apologies if we don't finish the books during the day and your child won't come to supper tonight. (We didn't finish the book.)
